Complex ideas conveyed with just a single picture can be an effective way to communicate your research to a broader audience; after all, the saying is “A picture is worth a thousand words!” In this workshop, Dr. Bharat will demonstrate how to draw complex scientific concepts in fun and easy ways. You will gain new skills drawing science that can become graphical abstracts for manuscripts, figures for grants, or even fun illustrations for presentations.
About the Speaker: Vinita Bharat, PhD is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Neurosurgery, Stanford University. To present science in fun and an easier way by using art and pinch of humor, she started a science communication platform called “Fuzzy Synapse”(www.fuzzysynapse.com).
