ONLINE: Tips Designing Effective Scientific Figures

In this workshop, we will be learning about how to design scientific figures to effectively communicate ideas. Making figures is an art which is easy to learn and can make a huge difference in conveying scientific ideas to the audience. We will learn quick tips and ways to improve figures for grants, publications, thesis, presentation, etc.
Participants are requested to have Adobe illustrator on their computers.

About the Speaker: Vinita Bharat, PhD is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Neurosurgery, Stanford University. To present science in fun and an easier way by using art and pinch of humor, she runs an online science communication platform called “Fuzzy Synapse”(www.fuzzysynapse.com).
