European Research Council (ERC) Grants Info Session – 2026

Are you a talented early-career scientist who has already produced excellent supervised work, is ready to work independently and shows potential to be a research leader? Do you want to move to the EU to continue your independent PI-career? The European Research Council (ERC) Strating Grant could be for you. Researchers of any nationality who defended their PhD up to 10 years ago — now including those who have just defended, following the new 0–10 year eligibility window for 2027 (up from 2–7) — with a scientific track record showing great promise and an excellent research proposal can apply. Join this ERC Information Session to learn more about the ERC Starting Grant.

About the Speaker

Dr. Orit Rapaport is the Director of Research Authority at Reichman University, bringing over a decade of expertise in research development and grant writing. With a PhD in social sciences and experience at Stanford University, she employs a people-focused approach to strengthen research capacity. At Stanford University School of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics, she earned the Donna Schurr Spirit Award in June 2022 for her grant writing training initiatives. Throughout her career, she has guided hundreds of scientists in successfully navigating diverse funding opportunities from NIH to EU mechanisms. At Reichman University, Orit strategically focuses on enhancing research infrastructure, boosting grant success rates, delivering targeted guidance to faculty, and cultivating robust internal and external collaborations.
