Resources for Faculty

The Stanford Biosciences Grant Writing Academy supports fellowship and grant writing for postdocs and graduate students. This multi-faceted program aims to support more and better submissions to NIH and other funding agencies. We hope that you will encourage participation of your trainees in this effort to broaden and deepen their career and professional skills, increase funding to Stanford, and provide transformative training to our students and fellows.

To ensure success of the Grant Writing Academy’s Proposal Bootcamp (Spring BIOS 263 and BIOS 279; Autumn BIOS 242), we are requesting that you serve as a Faculty Reviewer as outlined below:

• We are requesting faculty participate in one or more 2-hour Faculty Review Workshops. The workshops do not require preparation or follow-up.
• Faculty feedback at the workshops is a critical component of the program. During these workshops, participants provide their one-page Specific Aims document. Faculty Reviewers give constructive comments and suggestions to strengthen the proposals.
