Pathways to Neurosciences is partnering with the Grant Writing Academy to offer you Office Hours with Grant Coach Dr. Amy Nippert. Our flexible grant writing training and coaching is designed to meet you where you are in your grant/fellowship writing adventure. Topics to discuss with Grant Coach Amy at the Office Hours could include:

  • Identifying relevant funding opportunities and resources

  • Developing writing schedules

  • Answering questions about the grant writing process

  • Providing feedback on your writing

  • And more!

Signup for individual Office Hours or join the Drop-In Office Hours! We encourage you to participate in-person (meetings in Chem-H/Neuro building). Can’t make it in person? Don’t opt out, join on zoom.

Individual Office Hours (click here to sign up)

Sign up for individual (1:1) Office Hours with Amy. Ask questions, find funding opportunities or resources, gain feedback on your writing, obtain advice, etc. We encourage you to attend in-person in ChEm-H/Neuro building, Room S251 (Phone Booth), or join via Zoom. Sign up for a 30 minute meeting or sign up for two slots for a 1 hour meeting.

Drop-in Office Hours (Learn More)

Drop-in Office Hours are held from 5-6 pm after all workshops for the Neurosciences Grant Writing Workshop Series.  We encourage you to attend in-person in ChEM-H/Neuro building, Room E255, or join via Zoom (signup for the Zoom link – click here). Feel free to drop-in for the office hours, even if you can’t make it to the workshop.

These Office Hours are led by Grant Coach Dr. Amy Nippert. 

Dr. Amy Nippert is a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford where she researches chronic pain. In both her graduate and postgraduate work, Amy has written multiple grants as well as served on informal grant study sections. In parallel to her academic writing, Amy has also focused on science communication, writing and editing articles for the general public. Amy is passionate about helping others achieve their writing goals. Starting from an undergraduate position as a writing tutor, she has continued to teach, mentor, and edit. As a Grant Coach, Amy is excited to guide graduate students and postdocs along the grant writing journey. In her spare time, Amy enjoys curling, ceramics, and reading science fiction.
