Grant writing can feel overwhelming, isolating, and high-stakes—especially when you’re still finding your voice, your footing, and your future. That’s why we created the K-Series Empowerment Bootcamp. Now in its fifth year, this immersive training offers something rare: space to slow down, reconnect with purpose, and craft a bold, authentic vision for your scientific career—while building a competitive K Award. Ideal participants will be submitting K Awards in October 2025 of February 2026.
In a trusted, energizing community of peers, you’ll engage in:
- Authentic reflection to reconnect with what drives you
- Narrative design tools to powerfully shape your K Award story
- Targeted grant writing support with expert strategy and review
Participants have called it:
“life-changing” | “the most transformative experience of my life” | “hands down the most effective training I’ve ever had”
You’ll leave with:
- A compelling, fundable narrative for your K Award
- Confidence in your voice as an independent scientist
- A clear roadmap for your next career steps
- A lasting community of support
This 3-day K-Series Bootcamp requires participants to commit to attending all THREE days.

- Day 1 | June 16, 9AM-4PM | Location: Jasper Ridge
Goal: To build a safe, empowered community and elevate your career vision.
- Day 2 | June 23, 9AM-4PM | Location: Jasper Ridge
Goal: Use design thinking tools to refine your narrative and application strategy.
- Day 3 | June 30, 9AM-4PM | Location: On Campus
